Seven markets provide 72 percent of international stays in Andalucia grow above the national average
The Minister for Tourism and Trade Board, Rafael Rodriguez, yesterday presented the first report tourists made of to the region and concluded that Andalucía win market share with the seven international markets , which account for 72% of the overnight stays. Rodriguez said an average growth exceeding the national average and amounted to 6.3% recorded last year .

Tourists bring UK, Germany, France, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy account for more than 15.3 million overnight stays , representing 72.3% of the stays of foreign registered last year. ” Andalusia has an average higher than other locations and this has enabled us to gain market share , less the Nordic countries in which we have remained stable . Yet none of them are the first choice in Spain , so we have to move forward , ” he said.
The UK is the largest issuer , with 1.1 million tourists stayed in hotels and generated 5.5 million, a quarter of the stays of foreign tourists in Andalucia , after rising 7% in overnight stays during the past year . It follows Germany , which contributed 787,000 travellers staying in hotels, with 3.8 million overnight stays , with an average of 12 days and a rise of 3.8% in overnight stays.
But France is the country with better performance in 2013, with 2.2 million overnight stays , up 15.8% and is the third double-digit growth after rising 21 % in 2011 and 15% in 2012.
